Snowfall Biz · Support

Snowfall Biz support

Snowfall Biz connects households and businesses with local snow, shovel, and ice help, from Snowfall Command Center LLC.

Call 911 first for emergencies. Snowfall Biz is not an emergency service, and messages in the app are not monitored around the clock. Snowfall Biz helps residents and local providers connect for snow-related work. Unless a job is done by a Snowfall employee, Snowfall does not employ the provider, does not control how the work is done, and does not guarantee the job.

Where Snowfall Biz works

Snowfall Biz serves ZIP codes within 20 miles of Pelham, NH and within 20 miles of Attleboro, MA, which includes North Attleboro, MA and Pawtucket, RI. More areas are coming. If your ZIP is outside those areas, you can still look around the app and join the waitlist for your ZIP.

FAQ

How do I sign in?

Enter your email and Snowfall Biz sends you a one-time sign-in code. There is no password to remember. You must be 18 or older.

How do I post a job?

Tap Post, choose the service (shoveling, plowing, ice, and so on), enter the ZIP and, if you like, the street, pick a day or "as soon as possible", set a price, and add photos. You can change the price or the day until a worker accepts.

What is a seasonal contract?

A winter contract for one address. Request it from Post → Seasonal contract. It shows as pending until Snowfall reviews it and contacts you.

How do I find work?

Open Jobs to see open posts near you. To take a job, open it and tap Take this job. Some jobs need an approved vehicle or insurance on file; the job says so.

How do I pay, or get paid?

In-app payment is not turned on yet. On jobs done by workers who are not Snowfall employees, you and the worker agree on the price and settle it directly. On jobs done by a Snowfall employee, Snowfall sets the price and you pay Snowfall Command Center LLC (Venmo @snowfallcc), never the employee; tips go entirely to the employee. Snowfall Biz itself does not collect card or bank details, charge a card, keep any job money, or take a fee. Snowfall plans to keep a platform fee of 15% of the job price on jobs done by workers who are not Snowfall employees, taken from the worker's payout, and every fee will be shown before you agree to a job or a charge. If in-app payment is turned on later, the app and this page will explain how it works before it starts. Nothing is charged until in-app payment is turned on.

What happens to my location?

Location is shared only while the app is open and you are the assigned worker on an accepted job. Snowfall employees share on company jobs; contractors choose whether to share and can turn it off any time on the Account screen. Location is never collected in the background, and points are deleted after 30 days, or right away when you delete your account. See the privacy policy.

How do I report or block someone?

Open the job and tap Report (you can add a reason) or Block. In a job chat, use the report option in the chat. A report goes to Snowfall's review queue; a blocked poster is hidden from you right away. Snowfall reviews every report and may remove content or suspend an account.

Is my information sold?

No. Snowfall Biz does not sell personal information, show ads, or track you across other apps. See the privacy policy.

Delete your account

  1. Open Snowfall Biz and sign in.
  2. Tap Account.
  3. Scroll to Delete my account and tap Delete my account.
  4. Read the notice and tap Delete my account again to confirm.

Your Snowfall Biz profile and the personal details stored with it are removed right away. That includes your location points, the name, street, ZIP and description on jobs you posted, your chat message text, photos on jobs you posted, and the name, phone, street and ZIP on seasonal contracts you requested. A pending seasonal request is cancelled, a pending business invite to or from you is revoked, and you leave any business account. This cannot be undone.

Kept:

  • insurance documents and vehicle photos you submitted, for 90 days after the account is deleted, then erased;
  • a signed waiver, as a legal record, including the name you typed and the IP address recorded with it;
  • if you accepted the Snowfall Worker Payment Terms for in-app payouts, the version and the time you accepted them, as a legal record;
  • a photo you added to someone else's job stays with that job (24 months; 3 years on a business job);
  • job, payment, payout and invoice records, without your name or contact details, for 7 years after the job is done or cancelled, the payment settles, or the invoice is paid or voided, then deleted;
  • records of Venmo payments you made to Snowfall Command Center LLC (your Venmo name and username, the amount, date and note), for up to 7 years after the payment, then deleted;
  • seasonal contract records, without your name or contact details;
  • account suspension records, safety reports about your account, and your location consent choices;
  • commercial insurance verification details (the insurer, the last four digits of the policy number, the limits, and the expiry date) and any payout account reference, kept as business records with job and payment records;
  • records we must keep by law.

Snowfall Biz, Snowfall App, and Snowfall Winter Comms use one Snowfall sign-in. If you don't use Snowfall App or Snowfall Winter Comms, deleting your Snowfall Biz account also closes the sign-in. If you do, the sign-in stays so those apps keep working, but it can no longer open a Snowfall Biz account. Email us if you want the sign-in closed too. See the privacy policy for full details.
