Snowfall Biz Terms of Use
1. About these Terms
These Terms of Use (the "Snowfall Biz Terms") are an agreement between you and Snowfall Command Center LLC ("Snowfall"), Pelham, NH, USA. They cover your use of the Snowfall Biz app, including its web version at https://biz.snowfallcommandcenter.com. The Snowfall Command Center website has its own Website Terms of Use at https://www.snowfallcommandcenter.com/terms-of-use; for anything about Snowfall Biz, these Snowfall Biz Terms control. These Snowfall Biz Terms are the "Platform Terms" and "Platform Terms of Service" that Snowfall's insurance waiver refers to. By creating an account, posting a job, or accepting a job, you agree to them. They are published in the app and at https://www.snowfallcommandcenter.com/terms.
Apple Inc. is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for Snowfall Biz or its content. If you got the app from the App Store, your license to use it is under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and these Terms add to it.
2. What Snowfall Biz is
Snowfall Biz is a marketplace for winter help in ZIP codes within 20 miles of Pelham, NH and within 20 miles of Attleboro, MA, which includes North Attleboro, MA and Pawtucket, RI. Neighbors post jobs. People nearby can take them. Snowfall Biz helps residents and local providers connect for snow-related work. It is not an emergency or dispatch service. Call 911 first for emergencies. Unless a job is done by a Snowfall employee, Snowfall does not employ the provider, does not control how the work is done, and does not guarantee the job.
Workers who are not Snowfall employees must either give Snowfall proof of active insurance that Snowfall can confirm, or sign Snowfall's insurance waiver and take only jobs marked waiver-eligible. Verified insurance is always required for plowing with any motor vehicle, roofs or ladders, town, school, or public jobs, commercial, multi-unit, or parking-lot jobs, and any job with helpers. This is a marketplace safety and eligibility rule, not supervision of how the work is done.
3. Your account
You must be 18 or older to post or accept jobs. Use your own full legal name and an email address you control, and keep your sign-in to yourself. Posts, photos, and chat messages must be about the job and must be truthful. Don't post or send anything unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or misleading, or anyone else's private information. Snowfall Biz filters job posts for objectionable words. You can report a job post or a job chat, with a reason, and you can block a poster; a blocked poster's posts are hidden from you right away. Snowfall reviews every report, removes objectionable content, and suspends or bans users who post it. You can also report a problem by email at nathaniel.dale@snowfallcommandcenter.com or by phone at (774) 737-2058.
Snowfall may remove content, or suspend or close an account, if the account breaks these Terms, puts someone at risk, or if the law requires it. Jobs already accepted and any payment already authorized or charged are then handled under section 4. You can close your account at any time (section 6).
4. Payments, cancellation and refunds
In-app payment is off. On a job done by a worker who is not a Snowfall employee, you and the worker agree on the price and settle it directly. On a job done by a Snowfall employee, you pay Snowfall Command Center LLC as described below. Either way, the app itself does not collect card or bank details, charge a card, keep any job money, or take a fee. If Snowfall Command Center turns in-app payment on, card payments and worker payouts will be processed by Stripe, and these pages will say so first. Snowfall plans to keep a platform fee of 15% of the job price on jobs done by workers who are not Snowfall employees, taken from the worker's payout, and every fee will be shown before you agree to a job or a charge.
Jobs done by Snowfall employees. If a Snowfall employee takes your job, the job is provided by Snowfall Command Center LLC, and you pay Snowfall Command Center LLC directly, not the employee. On a job done by a Snowfall employee, the price is set by Snowfall Command Center LLC or by an employee Snowfall has authorized to set it. While in-app payment is off, you can pay Snowfall Command Center LLC through its Venmo business profile (@snowfallcc, https://venmo.com/u/snowfallcc) or by another method Snowfall confirms in writing. Please put the job ID in the payment note. Snowfall pays Venmo's fees on these payments. Venmo is used only for jobs done by Snowfall employees; on other jobs, pay the worker as you agree with them. Do not pay a Snowfall employee for the job itself; a payment made to an employee instead of Snowfall is not a payment to Snowfall. Venmo is operated by PayPal, Inc. under its own terms and privacy policy. Snowfall does not receive your card or bank details from Venmo.
Tips. Tips are optional and are never included in the job price. Any tip for a Snowfall employee belongs entirely to that employee. You may hand a tip to the employee directly, or include it in your Venmo payment to @snowfallcc and write the tip amount in the note (for example, "Job 1234 – $20 tip"). Snowfall Command Center LLC keeps no part of a tip, pays any processing fee on it itself, and pays the full tip to the employee through payroll no later than the employee's next regular payday. Snowfall does not add any extra charge to jobs done by its employees.
The rules below apply only to jobs paid in the app. They take effect when in-app payment is turned on, and the app will say so first.
- Who you pay. Payment for a job is made to the worker who accepted it. Snowfall Command Center LLC ("Snowfall"), Pelham, NH, USA, accepts, collects, and processes that payment only as the worker's limited payment-collection agent, through its payment processor Stripe. When a Snowfall employee does a job, you pay Snowfall directly, and Snowfall is the seller of that service.
- Payment satisfies your obligation. Once your payment is received by Snowfall or Stripe, it is treated as received by the worker. Your obligation to pay the worker for that job is fully extinguished, even if Snowfall or Stripe fails to pay the worker.
- Price and fees. The price shown when you post and at checkout is the total you pay. Snowfall adds no fee for posters. On jobs done by workers who are not Snowfall employees, Snowfall charges the worker a platform fee of 15% of the job price, deducted from the worker's payout and shown to the worker before they accept. No fee applies on jobs done by Snowfall employees.
- Authorization and charge. When a worker accepts your job (or 2 days before the scheduled date, if later), Stripe authorizes your card for the job price. Your card is charged when you confirm the work is done, or automatically 48 hours after the worker marks the job complete with before and after photos, or sooner if needed so the charge happens before the 5-day authorization ends. If the job is not charged within 5 days of the authorization, the authorization is released automatically and you are not charged.
- Payouts. When your card is charged, the worker's share goes directly to the worker's own Stripe account and is paid out on the worker's Stripe payout schedule. Snowfall does not decide payouts case by case.
- Cancellation. You or the worker may cancel in the app before work starts. The authorization is then released and you are not charged. There is no late-cancellation fee; if one is ever added, it will be shown before you pay. After work starts, a job can't be cancelled in the app; contact us.
- Refunds. You get a refund if you were charged and (a) the worker did not do the job: a full refund of whatever has not already been refunded; (b) the after photos do not show the posted work done, judged by comparing the job post with the before and after photos and the job chat: a full refund, or a partial refund for the part that was not done; (c) you were charged in error, such as a duplicate charge or the wrong amount: a refund of the amount charged in error. To ask, contact us at nathaniel.dale@snowfallcommandcenter.com or (774) 737-2058 within 14 days after your card is charged, with the job and photos. The 14 days are counted to the day you ask, not the day Snowfall handles the request. Snowfall decides each request under these written rules. A refund can be for the full amount or part of it. No refund is made while a card dispute about the same charge is open; the card network decides it. Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days after the refund is issued. On a job done by a worker who is not a Snowfall employee, a refund also reverses the matching part of the worker's share and of Snowfall's fee.
- Disputes and chargebacks. If you have a problem with the work, contact us before the 48-hour confirmation window ends: nathaniel.dale@snowfallcommandcenter.com or (774) 737-2058. We will ask both sides for photos and messages and apply the written refund rules above. Snowfall does not guarantee the work. Your card-network chargeback rights are not limited by these Terms. If a chargeback is decided against a worker, the amount may be recovered from that worker as permitted by the Stripe Services Agreement.
- No stored value. Snowfall does not offer accounts, wallets, balances, credits, or stored value. You cannot add money to Snowfall or spend a balance. No interest is paid on any payment while it is pending.
- Stripe. Payments are processed by Stripe. Posters' card details are handled under Stripe's privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). Workers must accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement (https://stripe.com/legal/connect-account), which includes the Stripe Services Agreement, and the Snowfall Worker Payment Terms before accepting a paid job.
- No in-app purchases. Payments are for physical services performed in person, so Snowfall Biz has no Apple in-app purchases.
- Marketplace. Snowfall Biz helps residents and local providers connect for snow-related work. It is not an emergency service. Call 911 first for emergencies. Unless a job is done by a Snowfall employee, Snowfall does not employ the provider, does not control how the work is done, and does not guarantee the job.
5. Workers paid through the app
Before accepting a paid job, a worker who is not a Snowfall employee must accept the Snowfall Worker Payment Terms (Version 1.1, effective October 17, 2026) in the app. The full text is shown before you accept, and Snowfall will send a copy on request. In short:
- You appoint Snowfall Command Center LLC as your limited payment-collection agent for jobs you accept in Snowfall Biz, and Snowfall directs refunds under these Terms.
- Once a poster's payment is received by Snowfall or Stripe, the poster has paid you in full for that job. If Snowfall or Stripe fails to pay you, your recourse is against Snowfall, not the poster.
- Snowfall's platform fee is 15% of the job price, taken from your payout and shown before you accept. Snowfall pays Stripe's card-processing fee out of its fee.
- Standard payouts have no payout fee for you. If you choose an instant payout, Stripe's instant payout fee is deducted from that payout at cost, with no Snowfall markup, and shown before you confirm it.
- Refunds follow the refund rules in these Terms. If a refund or chargeback is decided against you after your share was paid, Snowfall may recover it from you or your later payouts, as the Stripe Services Agreement permits.
- Snowfall keeps no wallet, balance, or credits for you and pays no interest. You must accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. You are responsible for your own taxes, and you are not a Snowfall employee.
- Snowfall may publish a new version; you will be asked to accept it before your next paid job. Either side can end the Worker Payment Terms; jobs already accepted are still paid and refunded under them. New Hampshire law applies, and disputes are handled as described below.
6. Deleting your account
Deleting a Biz account removes the Biz profile and the personal details on your posts, chats, location points, and seasonal requests right away. A pending seasonal request is cancelled, and you leave any business account. Snowfall Biz, Snowfall App, and Snowfall Winter Comms use one Snowfall sign-in. If you don't use Snowfall App or Snowfall Winter Comms, deleting your Snowfall Biz account also closes the sign-in. If you do, the sign-in stays so those apps keep working, but it can no longer open a Snowfall Biz account. Email us if you want the sign-in closed too.
- Insurance documents and vehicle photos you submitted are kept for 90 days, then erased.
- A signed waiver is kept as a legal record, including the name you typed and the IP address recorded with it.
- If you accepted the Snowfall Worker Payment Terms, the version and the time you accepted them are kept as a legal record.
- A photo you added to someone else's job stays with that job for 24 months (3 years on a business job).
- Job, payment, payout and invoice records are kept as financial records, without your name or contact details, for 7 years after the job is done or cancelled, the payment settles, or the invoice is paid or voided. Then they are deleted.
- Records of Venmo payments you made to Snowfall Command Center LLC (your Venmo name and username, the amount, date and note) are kept as payment and tax records for up to 7 years after the payment, then deleted.
- Seasonal contract records are kept as business records, without your name or contact details.
- Account suspension records, safety reports about your account, and your location consent choices are kept.
- Commercial insurance verification details (the insurer, the last four digits of the policy number, the limits, and the expiry date) and any payout account reference are kept as business records, with job and payment records.
7. Email and privacy
Snowfall Biz sends sign-in, account, and service emails. Today that is the one-time sign-in code you ask for. When you request a seasonal contract, Snowfall Command Center also gets an email about the request so it can follow up. The app does not send SMS, and push notifications are off. A ZIP outside the active service area can look around in read-only mode or leave an email on the waitlist. That email is saved with the ZIP in the Snowfall Biz database. Snowfall Biz does not email or text it, and it is not used for marketing.
How Snowfall handles your information is described in the Snowfall Biz privacy policy, in the app and at https://www.snowfallcommandcenter.com/snowfall-biz-privacy.
8. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
If you have a dispute with Snowfall, contact us first at nathaniel.dale@snowfallcommandcenter.com or (774) 737-2058, and both sides will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. If it is not resolved, either side may bring a claim in the state or federal courts located in New Hampshire, or in small claims court if the claim qualifies.
Problems between a poster and a worker about a paid job are handled under the refund rules above. Nothing in these Terms limits your card-network chargeback rights or any consumer-protection right that the law where you live gives you and that cannot be waived.
9. Changes to these Terms
Snowfall may update these Terms. The new version and its effective date are posted in the app and at https://www.snowfallcommandcenter.com/terms. If a change affects payments, you will be asked to accept it at checkout, or before your next paid job if you are a worker. A change does not apply to a job that was already paid.
